
1. What devices are supported?
BowBuddy is available for any product based on the Microsoft platforms. At present we do not support Palm OS, Symbian or Apple's i-phone.
2. I don't have a PayPal account, can I use a credit card?
Yes, Proceed through the checkout option and select the non PayPal account holder option.
3. How is BowBuddy Licensed ?
BowBuddy is licensed to a specific pda. You can read about our pricing and licensing policies here.
4. I have lost my unlock code, what now?
Please visit the self service centre to request a repacement unlock code. We will need your system identifier and the original Paypal transaction number to process these requests.
5. How do I tranfer my license to a new device?
Please visit the self service centre to request a transfer license for a new device. We will need your old system identifier, your new system identifier and the original Paypal transaction reference to process these requests.
6. How do I install an newer version
We recommend you take a backup of your existing version of BowBuddy, uninstall the software, install the new version and then restore your data from the backup.
The user manual will contain any special instructions which need to be followed.
7. How do I make a backup of my data ?
Use the backup option from within BowBuddy. This will store all your important information, including your license file.
8. Why do I have to register online ?
This is for our protection and yours. We can ensure that via this method the software will stay secure and we can spend our time developing features for you and not anti-piracy code which just adds to our overheads..
9. Bow Buddy crashes when in suspend mode.
Depending on the device this can happen when Bow Buddy is not installed in the main memory. With Pocket PC 2003 and WM5 the pda forgets about additional storage devices when in suspend mode.
To complicate issues, different devices have different timeout delays but this can be changed on the device by modifying the following registry key.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\] "PNPUnloadDelay"="4096"
If this is all a bit daunting, then we would recommend installing Bow Buddy into main memory to rectify the problem.
